Founded in 1992, Parmacontrols is since then acting on the field of inspection systems for the packaging area of the following sectors: food, bottling, pharmaceutical and chemical, can making, metal and plastic containers and relevant closures manufacturing. Parmacontrols offers four different and integrated lines of products:

1. Smiths Detection is indisputable world leader in the X–Rays inspection for the food sector; with units able to check sealed bags and packs, glass jars or cans  as well as bulk products. Smiths Detection PID (Product Industrial Division) borrowed this technology from the sister company Smith Detection SID (Security Industrial Division), world leader as well for the inspection of luggage at  airports and for the containers inspection in ports or customs. Smiths Detection started its activity on the X-Rays sector first among all actual competitors and can now boast an unparalleled experience of almost 40 years experience in this sector with about 50.000 units sold all over the world.  It is the only one company manufacturing in house all the critic components, that is X-Rays tubes and detectors, and this is making the Smiths units the more performing and reliable on the market.

2. Applied Vision is recognized world leader in the on-line inspection with cameras for metal packaging manufacturing, that is three-piece tinplate cans (for food cans) and two-piece aluminium and steel cans (for beverages), also including  relevant closures such as open top lids, EOE, twist off caps, crown corks, screw caps and a variety of closures, in plastic as well.

3. Since many years CMCKuhnke is the world leader for the production of measurement and laboratory systems devoted to the metal packaging and relevant closures inspection, including also the cans seam automatic inspection systems.

4. Parmacontrols manufactures its own line dedicated to the inspection systems for food and bottling sectors which can be easily complemented by the above-described technologies. In particular, thanks to the possibility to offer customized solutions, designed and made to really match the specific needs of each customer, Parmacontrols is able to manage as well difficult applications and installations, as the flexibility deriving from its small size allows to propose tailor-made solutions which bigger companies cannot  offer.
